Katja Dreyer
Katja Dreyer is a Performer, Theatremaker, Teacher of Movement and Writing for Performance at Luca Drama and a Teacher of the Alexandertechniek.
I came across the Alexandertechnique during the creation of a performance where we, the performers had to remain completely still for the duration of the show. In order not to hurt our joints, our voice and loose our presence we asked an Alexander Technique teacher for support. We performed this show more than 60 times during ten years all over the world and for every performance her words and the memory of her touch were a support.
I became a teacher 2 years ago after training at the school for Alexander Technique in Brussels with Michèle Desonai, Claire Destrée, Sarah Ludi, Malcolm King, Hazel Carrie and Katri-Mari Ruonala.
I am using the Alexander Technique in my creation processes, as a Performer and in my Teaching of Writing and Movement.
It is the perfect state of being, curious, looking for balance, connected to the self and open for connection.
I teach in my private studio in Brussels in English, Dutch, German and French.
