Helga Henckens

Helga Henckens was trained by Elizabeth Langford and Eliane Lefèbvre and qualified in 1997.

She has many years of experience in Freinet education as a teacher and coordinator.
Her interest in dance, singing and theater and the interplay between body, mind and movement brought her to both Eastern and Western techniques and schools, such as Qi Gong, Buqi (Dr Shen), Body and Mind Centering, Meditation (Timotheus), Stillness Work (Mike Boxhall), Instant Composition (Julyen Hamilton),…

In addition to her private practice in Maasmechelen and Leuven, she is a guest teacher of Alexander Technique at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp (AP-arts.be), at the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra and she works with flutists at ADAMS and IFSB and is one of the teachers at the Breathing Coach training (HRD Academy)

She also teaches movement and Alexander Technique for various training organizations and academies (DKO).

She teaches in NL, FR, ENG

For me, the F.M.Alexander Technique is freedom of movement, balance, space and lightness. It is my guide in awareness of how I do things, how my body reacts to events inside and outside me, how I can give direction and stay balanced (physically, mentally and emotionally).
Whether musicians, singers, dancers, ICT professionals, teachers, nurses, coaches, .... everyone, I would like to take them on this journey of discovery
