Leon Frijns
Leon has been working as a guitar teacher for many years . He studied classical guitar in Maastricht, the Netherlands at the Conservatory of Music and took master classes with Roberto Aussel, Leo Brouwer, Abel Carlevaro and David Russell among many others. He specialized in the school of guitar technique of Maestro Carlevaro from Montevideo (Uruguay) and as such taught at the international guitar festival “Gitarre und Natur” in Erlbach under the direction of Eduardo Fernández, as well as during the “Gitarrentage Vallendar”, both in Germany.
In 2005, he completed training as teacher of the Alexander Technique with Elizabeth Langford, herself a musician and a pioneer in the integration of the technique in music making. It is also his desire to incorporate this practical technique when teaching and making music.
