Katrien Vanderbeke
Katrien was trained as a dancer. Her quest to increase body awareness, precision and simplicity led her to the Alexander Technique. Recognizing habitual patterns and choosing “not to act”, which are the basic principles of the technique, gave her tools for more freedom in movement.
Deepening and passing on the Technique is still one of her great passions.
Apart from her private practice in Ostend, she is also part of the teaching staff of the School of Art in Ghent where she teaches Alexander Technique to the drama and music students.
Katrien was trained by Elizabeth Langford and qualified in 2001.
