Athanase discovered the Alexander Technique in 1994 and then trained with Elizabeth Langford.
He has worked full time giving individual private lessons since he qualified in 1998.
He also regularly gives talks and workshops on the practical and theoretical implications of the Technique.
Athanase is particularly interested in the effects of modern living on the body and mind of human beings, the stress it creates in professional and home life, and in the practical help offered by the Technique for a better adaptation of the individual to life and society.
Athanase also has a life long interest in the question of free will and ways of increasing self-awareness.
